Salus Smart Home October 29, 2018 Salus Smart Home puts you in control of every room. This amazing and smart system allows you to reduce your energy consumption by only heating and lighting each room of a building when it is actually needed. Whether you’re running a Bed & Breakfast, a small hotel, a guest house, a nursing or care home or maybe you have a large residential house, using Salus Smart Home will reduce your energy bills, it’ll also save you money in the long run, and will help provide you with a more comfortable environment. With Smart Occupancy Detection in every room via a PIR sensor connected to a salus relay, the lighting, power sockets, heating and occupancy can be monitored remotely. The PIR sensors can trigger the heating, lights and sockets automatically, also with salus door and widow sensors you can turn radiators off when windows are left open, you can also be alerted if they remain open for longer then a set period. Great customer service is the priority for every hotel or guesthouse owner, and with the Salus Smart Home system, rooms can be individually monitored to see if they are at a comfortable temperature or whether your guests have checked out. You can also link it to a smoke alarm and leak detection unit in each room too. Each day the rooms are reset back to a standard temperature and settings, ensuring that each new guest always enters a room at a temperature suited to them. Turning the heating and lights off in unused rooms could help you reduce the energy usage in your hotel up to 40% (source: Travelodge) Control your hotel’s heating, lights and sockets from the reception at the click of a button. Set temperatures in individual rooms and schedule when you want your radiators to switch on and off. The system is completely wireless yet reliable as it uses Zigbee 2.4GHz mesh network to communicate to all devices, then has access to the Internet via the gateway which is connected to your router giving you access via a dedicated app on your computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. Alternatively you can choose to connect the reception computer with a salus AC10RF Zigbee Co-ordinator and not connect to the smart home system to the Internet. Salus panic buttons can be linked into the system to alert the reception if pressed and can also trigger all the lights to come on.
