Review of the Worcester GB162 July 06, 2019 Review of the Worcester GB162 65kW Commercial Boiler Worcester are probably Horshams number one boiler choice for domestic market installations, this also seems to be a growing trend for the commercial market too. There are many decent boiler manufacturers to choose from these days, but Worcester have given their customers confidence and satisfaction, even though it may come at a premium. My personal opinion on the GB162 I really do like the GB162 range, it’s a quality boiler and very versatile with the cascade rig allowing 8 boilers cascaded up to 800kW, that’s impressive at anybody’s standard. The only pitfall would be the warranty is just 2 years, this can be bumped up to 5 years if installed by a Worcester Approved Engineer, unfortunately this is something we no longer wish to pursue as Worcester tie the approved engineers in to selling a large amount of their boilers every year, we prefer to offer all makes and models of boilers and only choose a boiler that’s correct for the job, plus we can offer longer warranties on other manufacturers without being tied in. The GB162 is a Wall Hung Condensing Regular Boiler. The 65kW model can automatically modulate its output down to less than 20% in order to precisely match the demand for heat. This reduces fuel consumption and improves overall seasonal efficiency considerably. It’s fully compatible with the Energy Management System (EMS) modular controls platform, optimising performance by keeping the boiler in condensing mode for as long as possible. EMS also provides comprehensive heating system functionality and ensures minimal energy usage at all times. The GB162 is an extremely versatile and powerful wall hung condensing boiler. Its compatible with the Bosch EasyControl which gives you the power to control your heating from anywhere. Available with outputs of 50kW and 65 kW, a new 85kW model and a 100kW model, all of which helps to ensure your heating and hot water needs are met. Perfect for both large domestic and commercial applications and can be installed as single boiler systems or as a multi-boiler cascade system. Integrates with solar thermal installations. LPG conversion available, ideal for off mains gas locations. A rule of thumb on sizing boilers.
