New Vokera Vision Plus Combination Boiler ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ November 22, 2020 The new Vokera Vision Plus has 2 really noticeable combi models in its range, a 35kW and a 40kW. The new Vision Plus combi offers complete flexibility on installation and performance. The 25C and 30C have very small installation footprints, with dimensions of just 738mm (h) x 405mm (w) x 248mm (d). Also having a rear flue option on these 2 models only, this makes them an easy fit for kitchen cupboards. They are also lightweight too due to having aluminium heat exchangers, weighing in at just 27kg for the 25C, the bigger models (35C & 40C) are both 37kg But what I personally like is the 35C and 40C models, they are all about high performance. Both models are still very compact in size at 740mm (h) x 420mm (w) x 350mm (d). The 35C delivers a domestic hot water flow rate of 14.2 l/min at a 35oC temperature rise. The 40C delivers a domestic hot water flow rate of 16.4 l/min at a 35oC temperature rise. With an impressive modulation ratio of 1:8 on the 35C & 40C, this means the 40C can provide a minimum of 4.9kW for heating and the 35C just 4.4kW. This ensures the boilers cycling rate is greatly reduced, even when the central heating load is very minimal. The 35C and 40C have radial stainless steel heat exchangers which I personally like alot, they are both forward facing burners, which is my preferred type of access to a heat exchanger, it makes serving much easier. Another thing nobody ever mentions is the Nox levels, this range is all class 6, which is fantastic for your local air quality. The maximum flue length can be run upto is 25 meters horizontal or vertical with the twin flue option, it's 6 Meters horizontal with the standard flue. All models come with a 7 year warranty, unfortunately this is its only downside that I can see, it can't be extended to 10 years to compete with the likes of the Ideal Logic Max, the Vaillant ecoTEC plus or even the Baxi Platinum plus, I'm hoping this is something Vokera can look into, I personally don't see alot of difference between the evolve and the vision plus, yet the evolve has 10 years when fitted with a beSmart, and the Vision plus fitted with a beSmart has only 7 years, both boilers are very similar in alot of ways, it really baffles me. They are Opentherm compatible, and work amazingly with the beSmart control, but saying that, they all have an embedded 7 day time clock with scrolling boiler status information, meaning the simple plug and play vokera Opentherm RF room thermostat will get you boiler plus compliant via the load compensation route. Another option is the weather compensation route with the vokera outside sensor, but this is something rarely done correctly in the UK on Combi swaps. All models have a built-in filling loop, a very reliable Riello pump and the universal pipe layout (FOGIR) which is new to Vokera, this is a huge game changer for them, this means like for like swaps just got a whole lot easier for boiler fitters. The flue is also a doddle with its click fit flue connection, and all models easily convert to LPG with the optional LPG kit. All are very reasonably priced, this is a great new addition from vokera and joins the ranks of quality along with the Evolve and Condexa pro.
