Installation review of the Ideal Imax Xtra EL 395

The Ideal Imax Xtra EL is manufactured in Britain and offers ultra low NOx class 6 emissions for maximum points on the BREEAM scale, and has extremely high efficiencies of up to 109.8% part load at 30% output. The 395 model is 376.2kW net heat input, with a gas rate of 39.8 m3hr, fully compliant with the energy related product (ErP) directive’s high efficiency requirements, Straightforward integration with 0-10v BMS systems is easy.

Together with volt-free contacts and alarm signals, there is a range of additional kits available for added control, including a modulating sequencer, plant room sensor, outside sensor and optional gateway adaptors to MODBUS, LONWORKS or BACNET, Modulation via 0-10 volt, BMS or RWF.

The boiler comes with free commissioning and a 5 year heat exchanger warranty.

It has a robust cast aluminium silicon alloy heat exchanger and a high 5:1 turndown ratio. It qualifies for the energy technology list, allowing full tax relief.

Conventional or room sealed flue options, with high, full and part load efficiencies. Very easy to install and service, floor standing with compact width & height for easy siting.

Internal electronic control unit with simple interface with large backlit LCD display.

Also an additional pump kit, condensate pump kit, air filter and sealed system kit are available.

I found this boiler very easy to install, I was also very happy with its performance and would definitely welcome more Ideal Commercial Boiler installations.
